Chandrayaan-1 lunar spacecraft designTo achieve the objectives stated in the Goals section, the lunar spacecraft will be equipped with various instruments. The design is still sketchy, and there had been no decision authorizing particular instruments, as of the time of this writing in April 2004, as proposals were being considered. The probe instrumentation will probably include a mix of spectrometers, a Terrain Mapping stereo Camera (TMC), and a laser ranger.
