News will be reported in reverse chronological order below. 2004 June 21-25, in Bangalore, the India-US Conference on Space Science, Applications, and Commerce, website here 2004 April, it has been revealed that the U.S., Canada, Europe and Israel have submitted proposals for payloads to be flown on Chandrayaan-1, and these will compete with Indian-built payloads. G. Madhavan Nair, head of ISRO, stated that decisions will be based on scientific merit and whether they compliment Indian experiments.
